The Old Testament covenant model demonstrates a promise of God to his people. God promised he would provide to Abraham land, descendants numbering the sands of the seas, and blessings to all nations. This covenant was beneficial to Abraham and his descendants. The covenant would also bring joy to God as the people worshiped him. Furthermore, as God made a covenant with Moses, he made the promise of relationship. The covenant God made with his people was for the greater good of the people and the society. This covenant also provided for dignity and personal freedom.
